Ms. Abreu received her Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law, LL.M., from California Western School of Law, with honors in 2003. She graduated from Faculdades Integradas de Guarulhos, where she received her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude in 1996. Ms. Abreu graduated from Colegio SAA in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science. Ms. Abreu is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California as well as to the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She is also admitted to practice law before all courts in Brazil, including, but not limited to District Courts, Appellate Courts and the Brazil Supreme Court of Justice.

Ms. Abreu specializes in Personal Injury, Construction Defect, Insurance and International Business Transactions law. Ms. Abreu has extensive experience with the insurance industry and the construction industry, including construction and design defects, and "sick building/mold" claims. Her experience covers all forms of commercial, residential, industrial and public works developments for developers, designers, contractors and property managers. Ms. Abreu's international practice focuses on assisting businesses involved in acquisitions, expansions, contract structuring and negotiations of various agreements with governments or foreign companies in Latin America.

Ms. Abreu is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. She is also proficient in Italian.
